Project Management

I tend to excel in project management roles. I hope to continue growing my skills as an empathetic, communicative project manager.

Anne Frank AR

Summary

This was a 3 month development project done by GIMM studios. I was the project manager and designer of this AR experience. I learned a lot about managing deadlines and user-experience design. I had many investors and community members run through the experience, and they often expressed their shock, awe, and gratitude for the work that my team has done.

Being thrown into Apple's new rendering engine RealityKit, I quickly adapted to a foreign coding environment. I designed the project, established deadlines, and motivated my fellow coworkers to create an amazing product. This AR experience uses pedagogical methods to steer children away from radicalization while teaching them about the Spiral of Injustice. You can experience it at the Anne Frank Memorial in Boise, Idaho.

VARScent

Summary

I worked with VARScent for 2 years in college. We used VR as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool for cognitive health. Since memory has been linked to sense of smell by multiple studies, we incorporated scents into a VR experience. We used that to create a smell test and interactive memory game in VR.

This project had lots of moving components. I had to manage multiple teams including engineering, software, and design. I pitched this project to investors at the Idaho Entrepreneurship Challenge. I got to experience the difficulty of research projects such as the high and low journey of discovery. I learned about different project management frameworks and refined my communication abilities.

Indoor Wayfinding

Summary

Without resources, we found a new idea of measuring distance inside a building. We used our pedometer with pictures and haptics in order to direct someone from point A to point B. I learned how to storyboard and come up with deadlines. The biggest challenge was being quick on your feet when you realize something does not work.

This was a forey into Swift to understand how to code indoor navigation. I helped our team of programmers understand Swift and create this app.
